Meet The Elders Of Our Church
Elders guide the direction of our church and serve as shepherds.
Bill and Patti Irwin have been members of the Longmont Church of Christ since 1996. They have been married since 1981 and have two sons, Don, a Captain in the U.S. Army, and Rick, a Sheriff's Deputy in Jackson County, Colorado. Both Bill and Patti have worked with church youth groups most of their adult lives. Bill currently teaches the Sunday middle school class. Bill is a retired FBI Agent, and security consultant. Both enjoy old movies, bicycling and sports.
Russ and Barbara Kusler have been members of the Longmont congregation since 1980. They have two grown sons and 4 grandchildren. Russ has been a Manufacturing Manager for many years. Russ is on the Board at Mountain States Childrens Home and is very dedicated to the Longmont Congregation. Both enjoy traveling with their camper and spending time with grandchildren. Russ is also a woodworker and is busy with projects both large and small.
Paul and Michelle Finley have been members of the Longmont Church of Christ since 2001. They both grew up in southeastern Ohio and attended Harding University. They have three children. Paul works as an engineer in the aerospace industry. Michelle works at Hopelight Medical Clinic, an avid runner, and enjoys volunteering with local programs. Paul and Michelle both enjoy family time and being outdoors.
David and Kristi Plumb have been members of the Longmont Church of Christ since 2000. The Plumbs met in Perry, Iowa and were married there in 1983. They have three grown children and four grandchildren. Dave is a Construction Superintendent for Alliance Construction Solutions in Denver. Dave’s involvement with the Longmont congregation has included the teaching of several classes, with the most emphasis on the Middle School grades. Dave’s years as a deacon have involved many remodeling and renovation projects around the church building and properties. Kristi is the Children’s Librarian at the Johnstown Public Library. She has been teaching children’s classes for more than twelve years, and she continues to teach the two and three-year-old Bible class. Spending time with their children and grandchildren is their favorite thing to do.
Randy and Randy Schow have been members of the Longmont Church of Christ since 1992. Randy and Janice attended Lubbock Christian University and were married in 1975. Randy is the Executive Director of Mountain States Children's Home, and Janice is the Director of the MSCH campus school. They have three adult children, Denver and his wife Kacee of Edmond, OK, Abby Mears and her husband Nick, and Jordan and his wife Sarah who are members of this congregation. Abby and Nick have two daughters and one baby boy. Randy and Janice also have four young people they have taken into their home as chosen children, Luke, Tanya, Kayla and Shannon. Randy and Janice enjoy family time, mountain getaways, and traveling. Randy also likes woodworking, and Janice enjoys crafts.
Ken and Janice Dean have been members of the Longmont Church of Christ since 1991. They were married in 1982 in Hudson, Colorado. They have three children: Jordan and his wife Trisha, Jared, and Bethany, and they also have three grandchildren. Ken works in the computer industry, and Janice is a homemaker and volunteer fitness instructor for Hopelight’s wellness program. Both enjoy active lifestyles.
